This page is dedicated to a simi-upscale of my favorite rocket, Estes Omega. The key features of the Omega are the simetrical tapaziod fins and two stage design. The Omega is a payload lifter, a movie camera (8 or 16mm film) is the prefered payload.

Update Nov. 2, 2002
The first Omega 4 (on the right) was built to fly on an I357T-S booster and I211W-P sustainer. This works well and is relatively inexpensive to fly, but lacks the power needed to lift a heavy payload. Although the I to I version was fun to fly and would lift my 35mm SLR payload to 2,800 feet, it just was not going to lift the six pound 16mm gun camera.
That lead to the middle length booster (right) which was built for the Aerotech J460T-S. This configuration of J460 to I211 with the longer dual deployment payload bay hits 6,500 feet.
The booster has been lengthened again and there is a 54x54 version in the works. It should be ready to fly by SpringFest 2003. I'm planing to fly an upscaled Cineroc nosecone with a 16mm, 64fps gun camera. J800T to J275W ???
I put together a parts list, which includes all the variants.
